A Tool to Achieve Your Goals in 2017
It’s the new year, so everyone’s reflected on their lives and come up with some new years resolutions, and a few goals to change their lives for the better. The sad fact is most often the new goals get forgotten, replaced, or reprioritised. To avoid this, we researched the strategies used by thought leaders around the world. But first of all, why bother with goals?
You’ve got to have goals. Oxygen, food and goals. It’s always been like this. The human condition will only advance with goals painted clearly in the minds of people. Without goals we exist just to eat sleep work and socialise. Rinse and repeat… that’s a fairly poor use of our intellects, would you agree? Which is okay, but I’m at the other end of the spectrum, driven to achieve ever more, everyday with a plan to excel and make a difference with my life.
So decide now. Are you part of the solution or part of the status quo? Help yourself, and the planet with positive actions towards remarkable goals.
To this end we have researched and trialled various goal achieving strategies over the last 40 years. We stand on the shoulders of people like Earl Nightingale, Tony Robbins, Zig Zigler, Jim Rohn and dozens of others. What we’ve developed is an 8 step goal implementation strategy. It’s the best approach to date.
Neuroscientists remind us of the power of vision, repetition, and emotional engagement. To really get your goals achived I urge you to employ these techniques. For example when visualising your goals, be like a Hollywood movie director, add colour, huge scale, action, music and surprise. Make your mental images big, loud and dramatic. Memory is born of dramatic sensory impact.
Similarly, repetition is the mother of skill. Earl Nightingale taught me that with just an hour of focused learning each day, you can become a world expert in your field, within 5 years.
Emotional enagement- or your ‘Big Why’ delivers the horsepower needed to achieve goals. When the going get’s tough, emotional engagement becomes the powerhouse that drives us and energises every action towards our goals.
